What is Hypnotherapy and Self-Hypnosis?
Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis to access the subconscious mind. It is a very natural frame of mind, something we experience everyday. Have you ever been driving down a freeway and been lost in your thoughts and passed by your turnoff? Have you driven from point A to point B on the freeway and not been aware of what you drove past? Have you been lost in your daydreams for a few moments, staring off into space? These are typical waking states of hypnosis.
Hypnosis is a very relaxed state of mind and body while at the same time, you are able to hear and remember everything you experience. You can open your eyes at any time and come wide awake at any time. With the use of hypnotherapy and self-hypnosis, you can change old behaviors, beliefs and attitudes at a subconscious level.

Access the power of your own inner mind
Hypnosis cannot make you do anything you choose not to do. A person cannot be hypnotized unwillingly. If the subconscious understands the change to be healthy and desirable, it will be willing to accept the new positive messages. Hypnotherapy offers you the tools for the changes and healing you desire in your life.
Is hypnotherapy and self-hypnosis safe?
Hypnotherapy has been recognized by the American Medical Association as a valid medical treatment for certain conditions since 1958. Hypnosis is considered safe when used a an adjunct to conventional medical treatment and conventional counseling, not as a replacement for proven, effective treatment. A person cannot be forced to do anything in hypnosis they would not do while awake, therefore a person will not accept any suggestion that goes against one's will or internal beliefs. Self-hypnosis is safe, even if you are inexperienced.
Because self-hypnosis involves a meditative, relaxed state of mind, DO NOT USE IT WHIE DRIVING A VEHICLE OR IN A SITUATION WHERE YOU NEED TO BE FULLY ALERT OR ABLE TO RESPOND QUICKLY SUCH AS OPERATING MACHINERY OR SUPERVISING CHILDREN.
Directions for Using These Recordings
1. Make sure you are sitting or lying down comfortably in a room where you will not be disturbed. Headphones will give you a
higher quality of auditory experience, but are not required.
2. Know that you can always open your eyes and come wide awake at any time you desire. You will always be aware of
outside noises and what is going on around you.
3. DO NOT LISTEN TO SELF-HYPNOSIS RECORDINGS WHILE DRIVING OR OPERATING MACHINERY.
4. Give yourself time to experience the entire meditation for maximum benefits.
5. You can listen to these recordings as many times a day as you desire. The more frequently you listen, the faster the
changes will occur.
